“Call Up” Teams can be any combination of two skiers/snowboarders, men/women.  The “Call Up” goes out to all competent skiers and snowboarders who can handle themselves on challenging terrain.

The World Heli Challenge is about sharing moments, seeking adventure and excitement and embracing the freedom and exhilaration that comes with freeriding in the mountains!

It’s a freeriding dream!

The World Heli Challenge is a 9-day, action-packed, dream alpine adventure including up to 2 days of heli-accessed free riding in which each team will make a 5-minute edit with their filmer to be seen around the world. Each team was assigned a professional action photographer to document their Challenge and create a portfolio for the Canon Shootout.

And if that’s not enough… The winning team shares a cash prize of NZ$10,000!  The Runner Up team shares a prize purse of NZ$4000. Further prizes from iON Camera, Canon and Syrp total NZ$12,000 in value!

Essex Prescott and Dylan Siggers think summer sucks. So they entered the World Heli Challenge “Call Up” and won themselves a winter escape to New Zealand on the hunt for snow, big mountains and big adventures. They found all three. This is their edit.

And the Winning edit!

Jake Koia and Ryan Tiene paired up for the new team format World Heli Challenge and brought Mitchell Ayers into their “Team Mates” crew to film their 9-day alpine adventure. This is their story.

The Guys at World Heli Challenge attached an iON Air Pro 3 to the  nose of the helicopter and took a flight to Mt Mary from Glentanner Aerodrome.
